Bundaberg Solar Farm – QLD

Project description

The 100 MW Solar PV SAT project is located in the Bundaberg region, approximately 360 kilometres north of Brisbane and is expected to have a life span of 25 years. The farm is being constructed across 146 hectares with an estimated 162,000 modules installed in 2,319 rows. The project is expected to generate
200MWh to power 36,000 homes and offset 104,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.

As EPC contractor for this project, Monford Group delivered all civil, mechanical, and electrical works, as well as engineering, design, procurement and commissioning.

The project has strict environmental constraints including waterways which meant we needed to develop and maintain robust environmental protection plans and procedures to ensure these constraints were met and the natural habitat of the site was protected.
