Pioneering a Sustainable Future Through Research and Development
Monford Group is committed to delivering sustainable solutions and helping Australia on its transition to green energy to achieve a net zero future.
Why has Monford Group established an R&D Department?
The Australian Federal Government, under the 2022 Climate Change Act, seeks to reduce Australia’s CO2 emissions to 43% below 2005 levels by 2030 and net zero by 2050. The Net Zero Australia project has found that Australia will need 40 times the total generation capacity of today’s national electricity market to achieve this goal by 2050, including 1900 GW of solar and 174 GW of onshore and offshore wind capacity. This is a daunting target but one that is not insurmountable. Conventional methods of construction for energy generation projects and infrastructure will need to be challenged to achieve growing demand while reducing emissions. Monford Group are investing in R&D to meet the challenges of construction efficiencies improvement through innovation in construction automation and robotics.
Innovation at the Core of Achieving Net Zero 2050
