Environmental

At Monford, sustainability and eco-consciousness are integral to our operations. We understand the critical importance of preserving the environment as we deliver our projects. Adhering to strict environmental policies and sustainable practices, we ensure that our work minimises negative impacts and promotes ecological balance.

Our commitment to good Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles extends across all aspects of our work. We engage in comprehensive environmental assessments, implement innovative green technologies, and regularly review and improve our practices to ensure compliance with global sustainability standards. By integrating ESG principles into our operations, we aim to deliver projects that not only meet our clients’ needs but also contribute positively to the environment and society.

Social

For Monford, respect for the environment and collaboration with local communities is paramount. We believe in creating positive outcomes for the communities in which we operate by providing local employment and fostering community growth. We support local businesses by offering them opportunities to supply our projects and our inclusive hiring practices and diverse team reflect our commitment to social responsibility.

Corporate social responsibility is a huge part of our ethos, and this is why we developed the Monford Foundation. The Monford Foundation finances projects and initiatives that create positive outcomes for indigenous Australians and supports local communities. It also supports our emphasis on environmental management strategies which focus on protecting and restoring our natural surroundings. We believe responsible, considered interactions with the community and environment lead to sustainable, economic benefits for all.

From Little Things, Big Things Grow…
Monford is a significant contributor to the Clontarf Foundation, which exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem, and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and by doing so equips them to participate more meaningfully in society.

Governance

Monford’s governance structure exemplifies a commitment to accountability, transparency, and ethical business practices. We have rigorous reporting structures which are integrated throughout the company, with comprehensive monthly reports and advanced real-time tracking systems across departments and projects, enabling proactive decision-making and performance monitoring. Upholding the highest ethical standards, we regularly review and comply with a range of internal policies and industry regulations. Monford Group is also an active member of industry bodies including the Clean Energy Council (CEC) and Smart Energy Council (SEC).

Monford Group holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, is Federal Safety Commissioner (FSC) certified, and holds Main Roads Prequalification (R2B2F50).

Carbon Neutral

At Monford, sustainability is central to our operations. As one of the first EPC contractors to achieve carbon neutrality in Australia, we are hoping to set an industry benchmark. This mission required us to assess our carbon footprint and implement reduction strategies. We use a carbon-neutral equipment supply chain and adhere to all relevant environmental laws, continuously seeking opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint.
