Monford Group is delighted to announce that our CEO, Declan White, will be participating in the upcoming Vinnies CEO Sleepout, scheduled for June 22, 2023. The event aims to raise funds and awareness for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, an organisation dedicated to helping Australians who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
“One night isn’t a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference.” said Declan White, emphasising the importance of the event. “As a company, Monford Group believes that people and community are at our core, and that it is our responsibility to give back to the communities in which we operate. I am proud to be representing Monford in this cause and ask for your help to raise funds to build a better future those in need.”
Homelessness is a significant issue in Australia, with thousands of people experiencing homelessness every night. The St. Vincent de Paul Society Western Australia is working tirelessly to provide essential services and support to those in need. The funds raised through the Vinnies CEO Sleepout will go towards supporting these vital services, including accommodation, food, and assistance in finding employment and stable housing.
Last year, Declan raised over $14,000 for this cause, and Monford Group hopes to repeat that level of success this year with the help of the community. The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is a one-night event held on one of the longest and coldest nights of the year. Hundreds of CEOs, business owners as well as community and government leaders sleep outdoors to support the many Australians who are experiencing homelessness and people at risk of homelessness. Each CEO Sleepout participant commits to raising a minimum amount of funds to help Vinnies provide essential services to the people who need them.
