Testament to its drive to embrace new products and improve productivity and efficiency, Monford used an innovative PERI product for its Nammuldi Mine project in the Pilbara.
We used the PERI DUO for various tasks within the scope of this large-scale, multidisciplinary infrastructure project.
DUO was used for the construction of drive in sump walls, drain walls, base slabs and as edge protection to prevent falls from heights.
Lightweight and easy to assemble, this product provided many benefits for our workers and the clients.
Managing Director Declan White said, “PERI’s DUO product is an environmentally friendly, lightweight formwork system that helped increase our productivity. It offers numerous advantages – its low weight means you don’t need costly cranes or scaffolding, and reduces users’ risk of injury. Its easy assembly increases efficiency and ensures a better construction site result.”
John Loughnane, PERI Australia, said, “This meant Monford’s skilled formwork carpenters could focus on areas where more complex forms had to be formed by hand.”
Significantly, as the area was subject to high winds, and cranes were prohibited, no production hours were lost.
These innovations reduced man hours by 50%, increased production in other areas of the project, and provided overall cost savings during construction.
This formwork solution helped us meet the project requirements despite restricted access, limited crane access and strict deadlines.
